The Challenge
In September 2023 IEM proudly organized the GEFO Ship Christening event, where we celebrated a milestone in decarbonization and climate-neutral inland shipping. The occasion was the christening of the TMS Canaletto, a pioneering diesel-electric hybrid inland tanker exclusively built for BASF and operated by our valued client, GEFO Shipping Group. The event, held at the Rheinterrassen in Mannheim, Germany, featured a memorable christening ceremony, followed by a festive dinner with inspiring speeches and live music.
